For the vision is for an appointed time but at the end it shall speak not lie"(Habakkuk 2:3)
David received a word from the Prophet Nathan and by faith he gave substance to that word.He had a vision of the Temple which would be build; He perceived the dimension of the Temple building and the location..
David accumulated the plunder from each war to prepare for the construction of the building. He used the threshing floor of Onan as the site to build. He had purchased the piece of land for Six hundred Shekels to build an altar to offered sacrifices when the angel of the Lord was punishing the people because of David. He had displeased the Lord by ordering a count of the people of God. It was at this location he "offered burnt offerings and peace offerings and called upon the Lord; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. (1Chronicles 21:26) .
The location was the Lord's choice. Chapter 21: 18 ("The angel of the Lord commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up and set up an altar unto the Lord in the threshingfloor of Onan the Jebusite"). read the the whole chapter of first Chronicle 21.
Than David said this place where the Lord answered me shall be shall be where the Temple should be built. He provided in abundance for the House of the Lord saying:"... The house that is to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly magnificent. of fame and glory throughout all lands. I will therefore make preparation for it." (1 Chronicles 22:5).
Did you receive a promise from the Lord? Have you made it into a vision? The first verse of Hebrew Eleven read : "Faith is the substance of thing hope for " the definition of vision is: amanifestation to the senses of something immaterial".
To illustrate the principle of vision let us use the life example of a young man name Tom: this young man came to New York with a word of of prophecy : He will be a very rich. The beginning of his life in New York City was very common to all new immigrant. He took a job as a Janitor in a Hospital and lived with a friend sharing one bedroom.. After three years he accumulated enough money to purchase a foreclosed , dilapidated and ugly house. He married a wife who embraced his dream. Together they rehabilitated their home which became a beautiful mansion. He added a pool . Tom sold his home three times the value he had invested and became an investor. After five years of buying and selling properties, he added a business of Money Transfer to his activities. Now he gave up his job to manage his business and in ten years he became the wealthy man he had dreamed.
Expect your vision to come to life by" working at it". I am giving you the same advise that David gave his son Solomon; "...Arise and built the sanctuary of the Lord God." I say unto you Arise and build.
The vision is for appointed time said the prophet do not be discouraged if it delays; the word will not lie. David did not have Solomon in mind when he received the word of God. He had not met with Bathsheba at the time he received the word from Nathan. He fathered Solomon long after he was told about the son who will be his successor upon the throne. He knew that he will die and not see the Temple building.
Tom set himself in motion to acquire the money to build his empire He did neither " dread or dismayed" before the hard time he had repairing himself his properties in his spare time. He did not take a vacation from his dream. "He worked at it".
The faith preacher acquired their fame by working at the promise the Lord made to them.
Prepare yourself to acquire knowledge, and set your faith in action and pray. " Get skillful and godly wisdom, get understanding ( discernment, comprehension and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth. (Proverb 4:5 ) AMP.
